This is a software tool that helps you rip audio content from CDs and save the tracks as WAV and other popular format files.
CDRipper or MP3 producer is a program that allows you to extract tracks from audio CDs. You can save them in WAV files. However if you choose to use a compressed format, options are available to get the conversion done in MP3, WMA, OGG Vorbis, etc. This program has the capability to inter-convert between these supported formats. For example, WAV to MP3 and so on are possible. When ripping and useful in subsequent phase of organizing the tracks, you could access the FreeDB and fill in all the ID3 tag information. With customizable settings and search options you will be able to retrieve the required information for MP3, OGG and WMA file. You could use the auto file name generation, folder structure creation and even playlists using these ID tags and organize the files automatically. The interface is well laid out. Controls are easily accessible. This must be this program’s strongest point.
If you are a music enthusiast, and collect and organize a lot of tracks, becoming familiar with the interface should be a few minutes job. It not only shows you the list of tracks which has been ripped, also shows how much of the complete work (ripping the full CD) has been done. Besides this track list tab, the interface presents you couple of other tabs that are named file formats and CD settings. It supports a range of bit rates such as 8 to 320 kbps, constant, variable and average bit rates that are usually used in these kinds of conversions. This is a very good product and if you are looking for a tool like this, this could be it.
